Whether sketching and painting on location or working in the studio, Debbie finds endless inspiration in the natural world. Her sketches are thoughtfully rendered with pen and watercolor. Her paintings are created with soft pastel, which she can work directly and spontaneously, embracing the medium’s color and expressive possibilities. Each painting is an exploration of light, atmosphere, and the quiet beauty of the landscape.
Raised in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, Debbie has always been drawn to creative expression. Her artistic journey began with fabric, quilting, and vintage textiles. With more than 45 years of retail experience, she developed her creativity through visual display design. Throughout the years, she has continued to pursue art education, studying with professional artists whose work she has admired.
Debbie is a member of Pastel Artists of Oregon and the Northwest Pastel Society. She has received awards in numerous exhibitions and is included in private collections. Debbie remains committed to exploring new places, refining her techniques, and deepening her artistic voice through every painting she creates.

November Workshop
Sand Casting with Bobbi

Learn the fundamentals of sand casting in a hands-on, 4 hour workshop. You will create a one-of-a-kind piece from start to finish, building a sand mold, see the casting of the molten metal, and finishing your piece.
The workshop is beginner friendly. No prior experience is required - just curiosity, and a desire to create. All the tools, and materials you will need are provided.
The metal used in this workshop is lead free Pewter.
WHAT IS SAND CASTING?
Sand casting is one of the oldest metalworking techniques in the world - raw, elemental, and beautifully unpredictable, and was developed over 3,000 years ago.
Sand casting is a traditional metal casting technique that uses a specific type of fine sand to create a mold. A model is pressed into the sand to create an impression. Molten metal is then poured into this cavity, and the metal takes on the shape of the original model once it cools and solidifies. After breaking away the sand mold, the casting is revealed and is refined through filing, polishing, and finishing.
With sand casting you can capture organic textures and unique surface details.
